Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using Liingo, including realtime translation, accounts, purchases, subscriptions, minute packs, and limitations that apply to automated translation output.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Liingo, including the Liingo mobile application, website, and related services operated by Geminis Technologies LLC.
By creating an account, using Liingo, starting a translation session, purchasing a subscription or minute pack, or otherwise accessing the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Liingo.
2. What Liingo Does
Liingo provides realtime language translation tools, including speech-to-speech translation, language selection, favorites, glossary-related features, and paid usage plans or minute packs.
Liingo uses automated systems and third-party providers to process audio and generate translations. Translation output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, inappropriate for context, or unavailable.
3. Accounts and Security
You may need an account to use Liingo. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, except to the extent caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law.
We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access if we believe your account information is inaccurate, your account is being misused, or your use creates legal, security, operational, or safety risk.
4. Subscriptions, Minute Packs, and Billing
Liingo may offer free usage, paid subscriptions, prepaid minute packs, or other paid plans. Features, prices, included minutes, credits, limits, renewal rules, and availability may change from time to time, subject to applicable law and store rules.
Purchases may be processed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another payment provider. Your purchase is also subject to the terms, payment rules, refund rules, and subscription management tools of the applicable app store or payment provider.
Unless stated otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You are responsible for canceling subscriptions through the applicable app store or payment provider before renewal if you do not want to be charged again.
Minute balances, credits, and usage estimates are calculated by Liingo's systems and may be based on token usage, realtime session duration, provider usage data, or other technical measurements. We may correct errors in balances, entitlements, or billing records.
Free trials, promotional credits, free minutes, discounts, and beta access may be modified, revoked, or discontinued at any time unless prohibited by applicable law.
5. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund requests for purchases made through Apple or Google are generally handled by the applicable app store under its refund policies. Refund requests for purchases made through Stripe or another provider may be handled by that provider or by us, depending on the payment flow.
Canceling a subscription stops future renewals but does not necessarily create a refund for prior charges or unused time. Access may continue until the end of the current billing period unless the applicable store, payment provider, or law requires otherwise.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Liingo, interfere with the service, attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, access another user's account, use Liingo to violate law, or use Liingo in a way that harms, threatens, harasses, exploits, or abuses others.
You may not use Liingo to create, transmit, or facilitate unlawful content or activity, including fraud, impersonation, exploitation, privacy violations, intellectual property infringement, or attempts to evade security systems.
You may not submit audio, text, glossary terms, or other content unless you have the rights and permissions needed to do so.
7. Important Translation Disclaimer
Liingo is a translation aid, not a professional interpreter, legal advisor, medical provider, emergency service, financial advisor, or safety-critical system.
Do not rely on Liingo as the sole source for medical, legal, financial, emergency, immigration, law enforcement, aviation, transportation, workplace safety, or other high-risk decisions. For important matters, use a qualified human interpreter or professional advisor.
Translations may be wrong, omit context, misunderstand tone, mistranscribe speech, fail to preserve meaning, or produce output that is unsuitable for a particular situation. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use translation output.
8. User Content and Permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit to Liingo, such as speech, language choices, glossary terms, saved favorites, and support messages.
You grant Geminis Technologies LLC. a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, display, and use your content as needed to provide, secure, support, troubleshoot, and improve Liingo, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
You understand that audio and related content may be processed by third-party providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information. By using Liingo, you acknowledge that we process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
Liingo, including its software, design, branding, logos, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by Geminis Technologies LLC. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Liingo for its intended purpose. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
11. Service Availability and Changes
Liingo may be interrupted, delayed, unavailable, modified, or discontinued. We may update, change, suspend, limit, or remove features at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal, provider, or business reasons.
Some features depend on third-party services, app stores, payment providers, networks, devices, microphones, operating systems, and AI providers. We are not responsible for failures or changes outside our reasonable control.
12. Termination
You may stop using Liingo at any time. You may request account deletion through the process described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Liingo if you violate these Terms, create risk or liability, misuse the service, fail to pay amounts owed, or if continued access would be unlawful or harmful to the service or others.
13. Disclaimers
Liingo is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Geminis Technologies LLC. disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.
We do not warrant that Liingo will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or suitable for your specific needs.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Geminis Technologies LLC. and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenues, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, or costs of substitute services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Liingo or these Terms will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use Liingo in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Geminis Technologies LLC. and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of Liingo, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or content you submit to the service.
16. Apple App Store and Google Play Terms
If you download Liingo from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to the applicable app store terms, rules, and purchase policies.
Geminis Technologies LLC., not Apple or Google, is responsible for Liingo, these Terms, app support, maintenance, product claims, consumer protection claims, privacy claims, and claims that Liingo infringes a third party's intellectual property rights, except to the extent an app store's own terms or applicable law state otherwise.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for Liingo distributed through the Apple App Store. After you accept these Terms, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
If any app store term conflicts with these Terms, the app store term applies only to the extent necessary to resolve the conflict for your use through that store.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Geminis Technologies LLC., without regard to conflict of law rules, except where your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting the updated Terms in the app or on our website. Your continued use of Liingo after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
