This policy describes how Geminis Technologies LLC. handles information for Liingo, including account features, realtime microphone translation, purchases, and support.
1. Who We Are
Liingo is operated by Geminis Technologies LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how Liingo collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information when you use the Liingo mobile application, website, and related services.

2. Information We Collect
Account information, including your first name, last name, email address, password credentials in hashed form, default language, authentication tokens, and account settings.
Translation preferences and content you choose to save, including favorite phrases, saved glossary terms, selected source and target languages, selected voice, and similar app settings.
Audio and translation session information when you use realtime translation, including microphone input, generated audio output, translation requests, language settings, session identifiers, and usage measurements such as estimated tokens, credits, minutes used, and remaining balance.
Purchase and entitlement information, including subscription status, minute pack purchases, plan identifiers, app user identifiers, transaction identifiers, webhook event identifiers, quota records, and payment state information received from app stores, RevenueCat, Stripe, or similar payment providers.
Support communications, including information you submit through contact forms, support requests, email, or other communications with us.
Device, app, and technical information, including device type, operating system, app version, network information, IP address, crash reports, diagnostics, logs, and security-related information needed to operate, debug, protect, and improve Liingo.
3. Microphone, Audio, and Realtime Translation
Liingo uses microphone access only when you choose to start a realtime translation session or another feature that requires audio input. Microphone access is necessary for the app to capture speech and provide translation.
Audio and related session data may be transmitted to third-party service providers, including OpenAI or similar AI service providers, to generate realtime translations and audio output. We do not use microphone access in the background for unrelated purposes.
You can disable microphone permission through your device settings, but realtime speech translation will not work without microphone access.
4. How We Use Information
To create, authenticate, maintain, and secure your account.
To provide realtime speech translation, language selection, saved favorites, glossary behavior, and other core app features.
To measure usage, calculate quota, enforce minute balances, manage subscriptions and minute packs, process renewals, and prevent unauthorized access to paid features.
To process payments and purchase entitlements through app stores, RevenueCat, Stripe, or similar providers.
To send account, service, security, password reset, purchase, and support communications.
To troubleshoot bugs, monitor performance, prevent fraud and abuse, improve reliability, and develop new features.
To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Liingo, Geminis Technologies LLC., and others.
5. How We Share Information
Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us operate Liingo, such as cloud hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, analytics, diagnostics, AI translation, customer support, payment, subscription, and entitlement providers.
AI processing providers. Audio, language settings, translation requests, and related session data may be sent to OpenAI or similar providers so that Liingo can provide realtime translation.
Payment and store providers. Purchase, subscription, entitlement, and transaction information may be shared with Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or similar payment infrastructure providers as needed to process purchases and manage access.
Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, government request, or to protect users, the public, our service, or our rights.
Business transfers. If Liingo or Geminis Technologies LLC. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use audio from realtime translation sessions for third-party advertising.
6. Purchases, Subscriptions, and App Stores
If you purchase a subscription or minute pack, payment processing may be handled by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another authorized payment provider. We receive purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock paid features, manage minute balances, resolve support issues, and prevent fraud.
Your payment method details are handled by the applicable payment provider. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers in Liingo's own systems.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Liingo, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain business records.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us through /contact-us. We may retain limited information where required for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, payment, or compliance purposes.
Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your account or server-side information. You must request account deletion or use any in-app deletion tools we make available.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. For example, account passwords are stored in hashed form, and access to account-protected API endpoints requires authentication.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data.
9. Children
Liingo is not intended for children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
If a higher age threshold applies in your country or region, you may use Liingo only if you meet that threshold or have appropriate parental or guardian consent.
10. International Use
Liingo may process and store information in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
11. Your Choices
You can update certain account settings in the app, disable microphone access in your device settings, unsubscribe from optional marketing communications if offered, and request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us.
Some information is necessary to provide Liingo. If you decline or disable required permissions or request deletion of required account data, some features may not work or your account may need to be closed.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting the updated policy in the app or on our website. The updated policy will be effective when posted unless a later date is stated.
